How will WSU support my student?
The First at WSU Student Center is a great place to find support: it offers programs specifically for first-gen students, knowledgeable staff who can help your student find resources, and a space for students to connect with other first-gen Cougs.
First-gen Cougs can – and should! – use any other campus resources they need, from faculty office hours to mental health support to tutoring.
If your student needs help and isn’t sure where to go, the Office of the Dean of Students is a good place to start.

How can my student connect with other first-gen Cougs?
The First at WSU Student Center offers events and programs to help students make connections. It’s also a great space to hang out in, and many students find that they make friends with other first-gen Cougs spending time in the center.
Your student can also check out our other student centers and our 350+ registered student organizations to find Cougs who share their hobbies, interests, and identities.

My student is undocumented. What kind of support is available to them?
The Undocumented Student Center provides support and resources to undocumented students at WSU. The center offers programs, clubs, events, and a space to just hang out and connect with other undocumented students on campus.
