These are the (mostly) quiet family members that bring us joy. Let's take this weekend to show them off and see who walks, slithers, swims, or just sits there with bragging rights. Submit your story and photo by October 5.

Fall Family Weekend Coloring Competition

Color one of the pictures provided and submit for judging, we're choosing multiple winners who'll win WSU gear! Participants can pick up color packets in-person at the WSU Pullman CUB Info Desk and return their final masterpieces to the CUB Info Desk by 7:00 p.m. on Oct. 11. You can also participate virtually and submit your coloring sheet online. One Submission per person.

In these challenging times, we are all looking for some hope and good news. The School of Music Faculty Artist Series recital, In His Hand: Songs of Inspiration, was designed with that in mind. Julie Anne Wieck, soprano, and Elena Panchenko, piano will present a program including selections from Henry Purcell’s Harmonia Sacra, Hugo Wolf’s Mörike Lieder, Georges Bizet’s Carmen, and Theron Kirk’s Prayers from the Ark. Tune in for some beautiful music and a time for renewal.

Oboe Tapas

Oboe Tapas is a recital “redefined” that will engage listeners’ senses of sound, sight, and taste. WSU professor, Keri E. McCarthy, will perform a dynamic recital of music for solo oboe with food and art pairings for audience members participating from the comfort of their own homes. Cook up the recommended meal courses in advance, and enjoy sounds, flavors, and visual “tastes” of artwork from the past thousand years. Lockdown Fitness w/ Olivia

In this workshop join Olivia Shafer, a NESTA Nationally certified personal trainer as she helps you invoke your creativity and show you that you can utilize anything and everything to achieve a great workout without leaving your house or spending lots of money on gym equipment!

Communication is a two-way street. Join this workshop to strengthen your communication, and learn about communication styles. We'll explore where communication fits within your life, common barriers to communication, and steps to move forward.

For nearly 70 years, we've recognized parents and family members that have made a distinct impact on their child’s collegiate experience at Washington State University. Nominations for Fall Awards close Sept. 30.

The top 50 nominees will receive a registration link for a recognition ceremony to celebrate the winner.

Our professional mixologist will virtually guide you through the steps to create two delicious fall cocktails and one cocktail.
